'Chris's noodle sculpture, composed of rice and wheat noodles, reflects the predominant staples in diets of North BEach's Chinese and Italian neighborhood. both the Chinese and Italian lay claim to the invention of the noodle.

site: Glen Park

Once the site of a dynamite industry, Glen Park's topography was marred by the explosion from the factory. The nieghborhood was subsequently planted with Eucalyptus trees to hide the scars and then suburbanized in the 20th century.

Muriel's graphically altered flowers are suggestive of the ornamental and decorative nature of the Castro's flora.
